Just made this today...must say it was wonderful. Easy to follow instructions. Between 2 people and 2 dogs one loaf was devoured. Dogs didn't get much. Thank you for posting.
 
Excellent recipe. I made it today and was talking on the phone with my mom...I accidently forgot to add the salt and it rose really high in my bread machine..made a mess..but I salvaged most of the dough and baked it. It was so good with a little butter YUMMY!! I substituted honey for the sugar and butter for the oil. Great recipe thanks!!
 
OK, so last night I was home alone since my wife was working and my
son was at the inlaws'. Do I go out to a bar? No. Lay on the couch and
watch TV? Nope. Uh, play with chickens? Nope. I made bread.

I took Gumpsgirl's recipe and tried a whole wheat version by substituting
3 cups of whole wheat flour instead of bread flour.

Then I made a batch using MissPrissy's starter, 1/2 cup water, and 1 tsp
yeast.

The whole wheat version came out amazing. The starter version was
actually sweet and dense. I need to experiment with that some more.
I had a half of loaf of each for lunch today. Yummmmm.

Hooray PC you did it and it looks wonderful!

It really is good bread, isn't it?!?! I was so glad to see my bread maker leave my house and not take up counter space anymore.

I am doing bread again this morning and it is on it's first rising. I am going to try one bread pan this morning and experiment with other shapes.
