Good morning-----I cannot believe how much action goes on on here when I am snoozing away!!
Cat/MJ---the coop in precious!!! Hope to see more pics.
Opa----for deer troubles have you ever tried hunks of Irish Spring soap or little bags of hair? We had troubles for a bit last year in our garden, but as soon as I bought the soap and went up town to the beauty palor and got some hair to put in old nylons, the deer stopped visiting. I have my items in the garage, ready and waiting if the deer return this year.
Wylie---we have TONS of wildlife around here. (southern Tuscola county)
A neighbor and a friend have both seen bald eagles in the last couple of weeks----and they live on opposite sides of town. Besides tons of deer, turkeys, opposum, raccoons, coyotes and all the usual we have big cats. There are lynx and also larger, cougar sized ones. I know, I know---lots of folks and the DNR say they are not around, but I have seen 3 in the last few years. One was the normal tan and the other 2 were black. Back in the fall hubby called me to look out the window one morning and asked what I saw. I said I saw our old black tom cat. He said look again-----it was then that I noticed that the animals back was as tall as the tires on a piece of equipement that was parked back by where we saw it. It walked away, down towards the woods and moved like a cat, not a dog at all. We have also seen tracks on some property we own a few miles away and last winter tv 12 did a report on the evening news of some people south of here who have been sighting them for a few years and knew of someone who had caught a pic on their game cam---looked just like what we saw.
I hope you all have a great day today. I have one comment on the whole "MJ's place infects you with the chicken posession virus" thing. Yesterday, as we were getting ready to go to the horse auction my little DD asked if for her birthday we could go to the "chicken ladie's house". See, the virus can even affect young children!!
The thumb is a very interesting place, I am learning!!
