Do hens do that side step motion that roos do? I think it's an aggression thing for the roo but do hens do it too sometimes?

When roos do it, it is a mating dance pretty much. It's not aggressive at all IMO. I have never seen my hens do that. You possibly have a roo? Do you have photos?

My Georgia does it...She sort of side shuffles up to Roxie and pecks her in the head *POP* sounds sort of hollow inside...LOL

Sometimes when I walk up to them with treats they do this little wide leged sort of squat dance and get low to the ground until I pick them up....Too funny.

More than just a mating thing IMO. My rooster does it when he's trying to get a hen to do what he wants, move in the direction he wants her to, etc.
ETA: In the mornings he does it to try and herd them all into a circle. He hates that they all just tumble out of the coop and scatter in every direction. He wing dances and they just sidestep him and ignore him. Drives him bonkers.
I've never seen my hens do it, not even my two fighting top hens. They flair their hackle feathers at each other, but they don't wing dance.

I've never seen any of mine side-step, but one of my Barred Rocks stamps her feet if I don't pet her quickly enough when she squats.

Her comb and wattles are a little bigger now. This pic was taken about 2 weeks ago.
