How exciting it was to turn to page 26 of the Dec.2009/Jan. 2010 issue of Backyard Poultry magazine and discover a very cool thing one of our moderators did! She helped organize Austin, TX's first Funky Chicken Coop Tour with a zero budget!
The article has a coop diagram and lots of pics of the many coops which were on the tour. One very funky "stucco" coop that looks like it should be behind a French Villa, one as colorful as a circus train. Large and small and full of the imagination and ingenuity. This is a fun and educational read for all our members!

we too get a lot of ice . thats for the tip.

The hay works well for us since I have two little LaMancha goats who live in the run during the nightime hours. A dual purpose so to speak.

I just got my copy and didn't know the article was going to be in this issue.

I hope everyone in Central Texas (and others too of course) can come to the next tour in Austin on April 3, 2010.
