My naming protocol usually ranges from names chosen for the bird's country of origin to TV or book characters.

Current flock is Camille (of French heritage); Evie, Audrey and Valentina (actually American TV); Isabel, Ophelia and Ursula (the I.O.U. girls); Alice and Cora (sisters from "The Last of the Mohicans"); Josephine (after the Empress, of course); Lucille (a red hen, named for Lucille Ball); Bronwyn (Speckled Sussex had to have an old British name); Millicent ("Call the Midwife"); Liesel (German breed); Lavinia ("Downtown Abbey"); Arabella ("Miss Scarlet and the Duke"); Pip and Squeak (named by someone else!); and Prudence, Gwendolyn, Daphne, Dottie and Lydia (just vintage names I like).

Oh my gosh loveeeee!
We hatched out 7 Polish, so might have to borrow the q-tip name 😂😂

I love chonky and gimpy too!! We have a quamby who’s is older, she’s got a busted toe, (doesn’t affect her) we named her Ms Wonky lol.

Photo of our 7 polish 😍
Oh yea, looks like you have a couple Q-Tips in that bunch!!!

Ooo love!
We’ve got a very mixed flock of names… but I’m loving the ideas here! I love the vintage names too 🤭 we did an old lady name trend for a bit (those birds were rehomed mostly). But it was definitely a theme we had going haha.

We currently have a mix of geeky names and old fashioned names:D
Current flock girls:
Torchic, Pidgey, and Onix are all Pokemon
River Song from Dr Who
Wanda from the Avengers
Pippin from LotR
Toff and Zuko (when she hatched, she was missing a patch of feathers around her eye that matched Zuko's scar almost exactly) are from the Last Airbender
Artemis and Minerva(she reminded us of a barn owl as a baby)
Cricket - she was very tiny as a baby - Silver Leghorn
Shadow - she is a very dark barred EE
Holly, Clover, Sage, and Violet - names that we love and seemed to fit them

boys- Blue because he had a blue leg band as a chick
Ron, Blue's half brother, had an orange legband and referenced a Potter Puppet Pals video where Snape calls Ron the orange one
Ezra - from Star Wars Rebels. His siblings were Sabine and Wren, but are sadly no longer with us.
