My 13 year old had her Spring concert this evening at her Middle School. She is a 7th grader, 1st year of band playing in Concert Band. She is blessed with a musical talen that allowed her to catch up with the second and third year band student in concert band. Tonight she did a solo playing "My Funny Valentine". She did excellent. too bad I did get video of it but I did grab a few pictures to share.

I am a very proud Mom over her accomplishments in band and the fact that she is severely asthmatic but plays the saxophone, not allowing her asthma to interfere.

Certainly something to be proud of!

Thanks for posting this.

I always thought the Sax was the sweetest of sounds. What a range.

Way to go Cheyenne!! Congratulations! Not only is she talented, but a very pretty young lady as well! Cetawin, you should be all puffed up and proud of her!!!

Congrats! Maybe Cheyenne can give you a private concert that you can video.

I miss being a band parent. Both sons played alto sax. The older one from 5th grade through 12th, the younger from 5th through 8th. DSS also played sax, but he never brought it down here during the summers. He played baritone sax, and I think maybe also soprano. Of all the kids he was always the one with the most musical interests.
