Ooooh, I just found out about this auction thread too! I'd like to offer up 3 dozen eggs, Here is what they are:
First set 1 dozen standard eggs from my mixed flock. The rooster is a Silver Cuckoo Marans and the hens are BA, SLW, ASL, and 2 Welsummer/Americauna mixes. So far I'm hatching out solid yellow chicks and black chicks. One chick I just hatched out has better barring than some pure Cuckoo Marans that I've seen! If you want docile birds that are EXCELLENT layers, than this dozen is perfect. My rooster is such a good boy and I was just holding him yesterday and hugging him, and he didn't mind it. And he's a BIG boy to just go grabbing and loving on, lol! And all of my hens are so good natured. The babies they are producing are super cute and already turning out to be just as sweet. I have this flock for our eating eggs and I have 9 girls (fertility is at about 98 to 100%) and get anywhere from 6 to 9 eggs daily. Their chicks should be just as excellent at egg production, with the added benefit that because their daddy is a Marans, they could lay nice dark eggs. My Welsummer mixed hens already lay darker eggs, some of which rival pure Welsummers or Marans. Pictures of my birds can be viewed on my website. Now, on to the second set of eggs:
I am also offering up a dozen Bantam eggs. The flock is currently mixed but I have been primarily getting pure Cochins. I did get a Cochin/Silkie mix though. In this flock I have Cochins in the following colors: Blue Splash, Black (hen only, is frizzled), White (hen is frizzled, roo is smooth), Barred, and Black Mottled. I have a trio of White Silkies in there, BO's, a Mille Fleur d'Uccle hen, a Black Silkie mixed hen, a Dark Brahma roo, and one standard Welsummer mixed hen that was not accepted by the standards, so she was put in with the bantams. So far the Cochin colors that I have hatched out are Blue Splash, Barred, Black, and Blue. I have 2 dozen more eggs in the bator now, so who knows what colors I'll get! With these guys fertility has been 100% and hatch rate has been 100%!
The standard dozen + is $5
The bantam dozen + is $8
*****OR*****
A dozen mixed between both coops $8
If the girls are nice and lay extras, I will include some extras. I did just move everyone into new coops, so if egg production drops in one, and it's ok with you, I can fill the dozen up with eggs from the other coop. Or you might just want eggs from both. Bantam pictures are also on my website.
Shipping is $12 on any dozen.
