Can someone tell me if this is a Barred Rock, or a Barred Holland (which I have just heard of)? This one is about 6 weeks old and came to us with another one from the same hatch (I think) that looks just like this only a bit bigger.

Thank you so much! This is what I hoped to hear. I tried looking for pictures of Barred Hollands, and did read that they have only 6 "spikes" on their combs, but the two I have don't have well defined combs yet.
We will wait and watch for eggs. The two I have are already showing signs of being more friendly than the other 6 (one RIR..others ?) so far, so I'm hoping for little "Barbaras"!
 
I have been thinking about starting a thread for the adventure's of the love child what does Barbara human and her fan's think of that just thinking let me know what everyone thinks of the idea.
