When I do the updates I list who won and then the link to the listing. If you find your name and then click on the link, you will see the listing and who listed it. Underneath their name is usually a way to contact them.

Hope this helps.

Ok, if you don't include the cost of shipping, which really wasn't terrible anyway, you can get your bator on E-Bay which is where I bought my second one. I bought mine WITH turner BRAND NEW for about $62. Usually the bator itself costs around $70 and the turner another $40, PLUS shipping, so I got a fantastic deal. I just checked on E-Bay and the seller I got mine through doesn't seem to have any with the turner for sale right now, but if you basically stalk E-Bay, lol, you will eventually see one come up. I would go with one of the E-Bay stores for a bator personally, that's what I did. They ship fast, and it gets to you quickly, and usually with a warranty or guarantee of some sort. If you or your husband are handy with electrical wiring then you could always install the fan into a still air bator as the fans are often sold separately. All I see at the moment on E-Bay is a slightly used Little Giant bator. I use the Hovabator 1602N model. I have 2 of them and on 2 of my last 3 hatches I got a 73% hatch rate on SHIPPED eggs. My last one I had about a 30% hatch rate, but if you listen to people here on BYC they will tell you that even that is a good rate on shipped eggs. What I also got was a digital thermostat/hygrometer for each of my bators and I got those on E-Bay too. I personally believe that they are a big factor as to why I've had good hatch rates. The little thermostat that come with the bators are hard to read and easy to break. I'll keep an eye out on bators for you. I'm considering selling my bators, with turners, but not until next year, and only because I want a bigger bator, lol. Right now I can only incubate I think it's 82 eggs tops with the turners in. (I need a bigger bator like I need a hole in my head!)

I was looking at the 1602 with turner included, but I wasn't sure how people did with that. I have my homemade incubator which we are going to bump down to hatcher if I ever get him to agree to an incubator, it needs a new thermostat so it gets up to 100 instead of 95, but the humidity is fairly easily controlled if I keep an eye on the sponge.

What is the main difference between the 1602 and the 1588? Just which one is digital?

Does anybody have any Porcelain D'uccle hatching eggs from good-show quality stock? I'm thinking about getting some after I get back from vacation....or before...I just don't know

If the difference in money is the difference between getting a new bator or not, then you could get a 1602........BUT if you can manage it, you will be MUCH happier with a 1588. I have 2 1588s and 1 1602 as well as my cabinet.... so having used them both, if I had to pick, I would buy the 1588 and NO turner before I would buy a 1602 with one. My 1602 (which I still use on occasion) gives me nothing but trouble. A constant battle to keep temp adjusted. It may be ok if you have a room that centrally heated/cooled and is always the same temp, but here in my home with wood heat and no air conditioning, it's a nightmare! Go to work in the morning and it's at 100, come home and it's at 104. I fiddle with the temp everyday it runs to manage to keep it somewhere in the range of 98-103...

My 1588s on the other hand, I plug in and forget about. Everytime i check them they're from 99.3-100.0, most often being right at 99.5. They're not "digital", though. The 1602 uses an old school wafer thermostat, while the 1588 uses an electronic one.

If it were me, I'd spend the money on the Genesis, and turn by hand if need be until I could afford a turner....

Hey aclee!!!
I agree with yotetrapper.......I love the Genesis 1588's. Currently I have 3 of them and have been hand-turning all the eggs this year. So far it's been going very well. Good luck on your "incubator quest"!!!
Happy Hatching To All!!!!
Kathy
P.S. Does anybody have any decent Dominiques??! I need to hatch some for a friend.
