New baby chicks born in woods - what do I do now?

Quote:
I cobbled my first one of these together when I was 12 or so, and it doesn't have to be a work of art, OR, since the chicks shouldn't eat layer feed, (too much calcium, not enough protein) so either build one of these, or get 'flock raiser' for them all, it won't hurt the others to have some extra protein (I do BOTH, the shed AND flock raiser to cover all the bets) . Just give them some extra calcium in the way of a dish of oyster shell on the side (very inexpensive, very long lasting), they'll eat it if they need it, chicks wont be interested. The hens shouldn't eat the chick starter if it's medicated if you're eating the eggs which is why I protect the chick starter from the hens with the little feed 'shed' that only the chicks can get under.

This is the A-frame "shed" I built for my chick feeder. They're actually using it and the other chickens can't get to the food, which is good because I'm using medicated chick starter for the first month. Thank you PortageGirl for the great advice!!
