I headed over to the coast to try to get some decent pics of the moon coming up. The horizon was hazy and the moon so pale that I actually missed the first minute or so of it rising.
The colors were amazing, I've never seen anything like it. Sadly the sun had barely set when it started to rise, and being a rank amateur I wasn't able to capture a lot of detail. I didn't tweak any of the photos, although I did bracket them so I was sure to get a good exposure and then picked the best of the lot. I wanted to stay until it actually changed to white but the bugs were too intense and I was getting eaten alive! Someone with more experience would have done it justice I'm sure.
