Turkey eggs are like that too they don't always lay in the box step all over them that why those eggs have thick membranes....all that counts is that they hatch

I just wanted to say the eggs I got on here got to my house so good. Everyone packed them well. I only had 3 broken out of all eggs I had got so far. They were not bad packed the ones broke but looked like box had been rough handled. I am going to start checking pretty soon see how many hatching. Thank you guys. I hope I have great hatching. All my clucks are full and incubators full so can't get anymore right now.

When I had trouble with my incubator hatching my quail eggs my thermometer was reading wrong and I was running it too hot. Chicken eggs will hatch early if your incubator is too hot.

I hope thats not the problem. I have a bunch of thermometers and they all read the same temp. I did figure out what was wrong though. I miscounted.

They weren't supposed to go into lockdown until sunday and I really hope I didn't screw them up by putting in early like 2 days early. Not supposed to hatch until tomorrow.

I have bantam Salmon Faverolles, d'Uccles, Silkies, Cochins and Seramas, and all of them have been laying and separated for 3 weeks. I'm not certain if they're pure eggs or not yet, but don't want to hatch the eggs myself (incubators are full of Orps and Chanteclers) and figured there's a good possibility of pure chicks of any of the breeds. Cochins have been separated for months...

I ship in foam that has precut holes; shipping is a set $15. This is for a dozen even, foam and shipping.

I have a Blue Salmon roo over Salmon Fav hens with one project Lavender hen (offspring will be split for Lavender); Blue & White roos over Blue, Splash and Partridge Silkie hens; Mille Fleur and Porcelain roos over Porcelain, Lavender and Mottled d'Uccle hens; and mixed Serama colors (incl. true Chocolate) with Frizzled, Smooth and Silkie birds. My hens 'visited' RevolutionMama's Cockerels, if you want to look at her past Serama auctions for pics. Cochins are Blue/Black/Mottled/Blue Mottled/Fizzled/Silkied and a pair are split to Lav.

Feel free to ask questions!

You are lucky! I had Cayugas and they ALWAYS picked the mud hole to lay in.

Sounds like my darned geese. Now they have built a nest in the henhouse right by the door and under the chickens roost. So if she lays at night they harass my chickens. Gander was even beating up on my jersey giant roo last night.
