I'm so excited!! My little rescue Pete is getting his companion tomorrow!

I'm so excited to be able to get him a mate! Deerman was gracious enough to offer a peahen to me but unfortunately we live too far away from eachother. So I did some searching and finally found a woman who was selling pairs of india blue peafowl. So I emailed her and explained my situation and asked if she would sell me 2 peahens instead of a male and female. Well, she has a yearling india blue from a hatch date in the spring of 2010 that doesn't have a mate so she's going to sell me her for $40. I'm so excited and just can't wait to get her home and see what Pete thinks of her
In the meantime, I've been planning a new build...one for Pete and his mate. I have him in a temporary pen right now, but I'm going to make the pair a permanent residence. The coop will be 10x12x8 and the run will be roughly 16x32 with 8 foot sides with the raised netting running down the center . So far that's the planned dimensions, but I constantly change my mind when I'm building things, that it may very well change again before I'm done.
I'll post pics when I get her home!
