Sumatra Question

We sold the LF to a friend in Newport or Davenport, I always forget which it is. His name is Tim Jergens, he is a member of the sumatra breeders club, I cant find his number right now. We have bantams and I am not 100% sure if we are selling any eggs yet. With 5 hens we get 1-2 eggs a day. We will have some birds for sale in the fall, we will only be keeping a few for ourselves. We have a trio of blues and a quad of blacks all running together and we have been getting black, blue, and splash. The blue rooster is out of a LF hen that was too small last year so we bred her to our old bantam rooster and got him. He looks just like a LF, it is awesome. One of the black hens is similar, we got her from Myron, she has the LF look which we like better. The bantams have the big eyes and just dont look like sumatras to me. Another possibility for you since you arent too far away is Myron Berger. If you know sumatras you should have heard of the Schock and Berger line.
The only thing is is that he only has black bantams.

What is LF? The only reason I thought of considering bantams was because they don't require as big of a coop for their housing & they eat less feed.

But I like the blacks better than any of the other colors. My other issue is that I seem to only be able to find odd-looking bantams that don't look like the Sumatras "should" from what I've read....I'm completely new to them so I've not heard of any particular lines being better than others....thank you!!!

LF is large fowl. The Shock and Berger lines are some of the best, they worked many years and out crossed and line bred to get some of the best sumatras.
Like I said before, there are many bantam sumatras that dont look right. Some of the reasons are the short legs, short fat neck, and the un proortioned head.
