Okay, so I know; I went back and forth between Orps, and Cochins for a day - and before that couldn't decide. But, I talk to a few of you guys, and then to a couple locals; and I really like the Orpingtons, and Australorps.
So I will be ordering Australorps from Cackle Hatchery (hopefully today).
Australorps and Orpingtons are friendly, docile, go broody, good mothers, and good layers - mixed flock!
I am ordering 3 Buff Orp roos, 6 Buff Orp hens, and 6 Aussie hens; ASAP. I am only keeping a few though; so I will give the rest of them away.
