I think it must have autosomal red and mahogany? I’m still not sure what autosomal red does but I think it must enable the red to be expressed on silver?
Not exactly. I’ve seen hens similar to that but I’d like to see what you saw. A quick google search doesn’t help me, which is annoying because I’m trying to draw the color but don’t know how the hens pattern would even work.
Well those are something I just made up, lol. The variety name is THE FRENCHIEST FAV. Since it’s red, white, and blue. (Jk) Sounds like a cool project though, too bad I have zero interest in Faverolles.
Some hatchery SFs actually do look like that. It’s a pretty cool coloring.
Leghorn x RSL wouldn’t produce something similar, since neither have silver. RSLs by themselves look pretty similar, but they lack the black, which is covered by dominant white (white leghorns are also dominant white).

He is a leghorn mix. The EE being the father. Would that make any difference? Either way, I will be attempting the cross for fun. I do not expect to have a quality line of birds AT ALL! They are plainly just interesting to see!

Who is a leghorn mix? If you’re trying to make a hen with a lot of autosomal red (like in that thread), you’re on the right track with your rooster. I believe your best bet would be crossing him to a solid red hen, like an RIR. About half the pullet chicks would be silver, and they would probably have autosomal red as well (lacking the dominant white that covers blue and black).

The leghorn mix is the cockerel that I plan on breeding with the comets, we do not have RIRs. I cannot attach a photo, but he is the cockerel in the barring conversation.
The pullet in the barring conversation is the EE rooster crossed with a comet. The EE seems to produce offspring with red leakage.

Do you recommend breeding EE x RSL or WLX x RSL? This is to produce offspring like Nugget and his daughter. Also, would it be smart to have seperate coops? I would LOVE to get some faverolle's in the mix! But I know nearly nothing about genetics, so it will just be a fun project.
