I'm using pretty inexpensive pine.. it's rough on one side. I wish I had bought a little better grade material as after I started milling on these, they really started to twist. I still have to remedy a pretty nasty bow on the one side.

This is the view as you walk into the human side of the coop. I still need to make a door for the feeder. I cut two view ports because I added a divider in-between them so I could use a couple different types of feed.

I added a continuous metal screen around the edge (inset about a foot) of the ceiling. I ended up using under cabinet puck lights that are mounted just above the screen.
