by 2pm there are five ducklings Hope the brown ones are pure Khaki but ALL GIRLS would please me greatly, even if mutt ducks.

Four of my babies from the Mothers Day Hatch--- the one at the top seems to be a roo and I've found him a home with 12 hens up in PA, will miss him but too many roos won't be peaceful.

3 weeks old today & outside with their "mommy" the chicken tractor needs repair so they are safe in an old dog kennel---too many hawks to take a chance with my babies

At 6 weeks old our duckling is almost as big as the full grown Pekin duck. The "'duckling" is in the front, followed by our two year old duck. Duckling was born July 6 and this picture is at exactly 6 weeks old. I wonder if the "baby" will be a drake as I see differences in them.

both eggs are from the "Olive Egger" chicks I purchased in March, The one on the right is from the bird that was lighter, more grey & looked more like her Cream Legbar parent. The one on the left was from one of the two darker birds. Both dark birds lay a more "true" olive egg.

These little ones love to jump up onto their "Mommy". Sometimes it looks like they are on a slide when the come down. They love to play. Happy chicks.

This little guy just left tonight with his sister to a great new home with children! Yeah, makes me happy to help someone else start enjoying chickens. Plus happy one of my Roo babies finds a home. Hope he grows up to be a good flock protector.

the duck family on an outing ---hard to believe that the ducklings are about 4 weeks old (yellow- Stephie, was born 07-06, pic taken 08-01) (brown-Casey, was purchased from a feed store and should be a little over 4 weeks) THEY SURE GREW FAST

Our ducky with her two babies. This is one of their recent times free ranging in the yard. They have been in a run for safety. Even being outside with them I worry because Ducky's sister was taken from our yard by a fox.
