I have 6 boxes for my 12 hens. They may not use every single one every time but you do need plenty to let them decide where to lay. You should have at least 6 with the amount of birds you have.

He's gone now, he found a new home with a 4H leader, she has 2 hens. She loves him, he kills the snakes that come around their house, kids who have no animals to show at fairs she uses him, I used him for my FFA showing so he's calm when being handled and other looking at him.

Did they cross breed with a chicken that has 5 toes? They should only have 4 toes.

My roo did the same thing at the same age with my 4 year old hens, he is also new at this so as time go's on he should get better, but it is normal.

No she's not broody, she got up about 20 minutes ago and a green egg is in the nest.

I looked in our yard, we have an acre of land. I looked under the bushes and in the wood pile where my oldest hens layed a few times after we had a fire, I even started looking in the garden, I never thought she would lay in my flower pots!

She is 2 years old, so you won't be seeing very meny eggs, chickens slow down laying at 1 year. I only have one 4 year old laying and it's only one or two eggs a week. She may only lay a few eggs a week, she also may be stressed from the move, so give her time.

That's great!! She must have been young, I also forgot to say if it's really hot or if she's stressed, this can also cause shell less eggs.

All my chickens hate roosters when I get a surprise from the place where I get my chickens. My hens, especially the 4 year olds, will stay on the roosts so the male can't mount them, I always find a home for my roosters. If your heart is set on having the guy then possibly keep them in separate...

I take the medicated chick start and grow and add water to it to make it like soup and add in lots of sugar and spoon feed my week chicks, it takes time tis way but I have had 100% make it back. I also use warm sugar water in the water container.

Keep watching her to see if she lays another egg like that. It sounds like she if fine, as long as she is having normal chicken behavior she should be fine, just look to see if she is eating drinking and cleaning and all should be good. But do keep posting if you have more questions or concerns...
