That's what I was wondering too?! If I bred them would they have gold laced offspring or does the coloring get weird like with the blues? I guess I could see if their chicks had it too? Then determine if it was genetic or not.

I recently bought a Pair of Golden Laced Polish and I noticed they had bald spots in their crests but thought maybe others were ripping feathers out for whatever reason....I wasn't worried. But now its growing back white...... is that a flaw? Or is that normal? Could they have known it wasn't...

I had the same thing happen 2 weeks ago. I knew she was broody but seemed insecure and was getting pushed off her eggs so leaving her wasn't an option. She would walk all over the eggs like urs too when I moved her. I ended up putting her in a cat carrier where she was limited to moving around...

Nope. =( I had purchased an additional coop this winter as a summer remodel project in hopes of setting it up better for broodys and babies....not knowing I would actually have 2 this spring. Bummer but we will make it work! COME ON WARM WEATHER!

Oh nooooo...... my first broody girl has started hatching her chicks but must have stepped on one.....but didn't break the membrane....more like crush it a bit. I took the egg out and will candle it tonight but what can I do if anything to help save the baby?? Or is the damage done? The membrane...
