    Honestly, I would say for the time being you could assume your other chicken is a rooster. Not that it definetly is, but at the moment, if it's really fertile, there's surely no other way. ..right? :confused:

    How long have you had them (or did you raise them)? Any chance they'd been with a male in the past..? Or.. I don't know.. do you live in an area with stray roosters? It looks like a fertile egg to me. That's very strange. Maybe she got some ideas from the dinosaurs from "Jurassic Park" :p

    I've heard you can get those plastic hawk and owl "decoys" and place them around your coop and it might ward off any actual flying predators. I don't know if it works for sure though

    I have an indoor duck as well! She looks pretty similar to your Gilberta. Warrior was hatched with deformed feet and is "disabled". When she hatched, she couldn't hold up her head properly for the first day, and she didn't know how to walk until much later than her clutch mates. She still trips...

    No, I actually got it from LeightonsLandingFarm on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/listing/533306929/pet-duck-diaper-adjustable-duck-diaper?ref=shop_home_feat_1&frs=1 ) they're great quality, and extremely adjustable. The diapers from Crazy K look very nice as well, though.
