    Texas

Figured I'd hop in the Texas board too. :) I live in Bloomington, TX. Have +/- 35 chickens and 3 ducks. =-)

    Orloff?

I added my location, hope that helps. :)

    Orloff?

I do not. They were a total of like 8 bucks for the 3 of them so I am not too concerned. =-)

    Orloff?

    Thank you :)

    Orloff?

Yes, which is why I was not worried about the mix up. :D I bought them for my 19 year old and she fell in love with the beards on them. :)

    Orloff?

I just wanted to confirm with you lovely, and more experienced folks. I ordered 13 babies from Ideal hatchery in July. They were hatched on the 18th. Now that they're about 19 weeks old I am pretty sure these are not the speckled sussex I ordered but rather something else, perhaps an Orloff...

    ABOUT( IDEAL POULTRY)

I'm okay with the mix up. My daughter actually likes the ones they sent more than the sussex. :) (Edit: Confirming that I am correct on the breed instead of just assuming I am right in the other thread. :hmm)

    ABOUT( IDEAL POULTRY)

All of my birds are from Ideal. They were great at communication the last time I ordered. Only thing that has happened is I ordered speckled sussex and now that they've grown I realize that is not what they are. I believe they are Orloff's as I don't believe sussex have beards. :) Other than...

    Breed Identification

I do hope mine are hens, at least a few of them anyway. :) They like to go nibble on my silkies feathers. I am not sure if that is an aggression thing or will become that but so far they get along with the chickens for the most part.

    Breed Identification

Sarkchick, no she doesn't stand like a runner. The swedish does make sense, she does have some pretty splash feathers. I was looking at ideal's list of breeds trying to figure it out but once all the genetics come in I get so lost. ;) The different color variations, even if slight...

    Breed Identification

This is my first time ever having ducks. :) I have had chickens for a few years.. hubby fell victim to the cute littles at the store while getting feed for the hens. Uggh. Thank you so much for your your input :)

    Breed Identification

Hello all! A little background. My husband purchased these babies from the feed store a few months ago. They are from Ideal Hatchery from an assorted duckling bin. I have been trying to identify breed and I believe the two tan ones are buffs but the 3rd one I am not sure? They are quite the...

    My BYC Introduction! :)

Oh I bet not! My husband has limits and I'd rather not cross them. In all fairness though he did surprise me with the 3 babies I have in the brooder. ;)
