She sounds fine to me, she's probably just not as feisty. It's like kids(I'm speaking like I'm not one) some are super active and playful and some would rather read a book.

Try to hypnotise it first. There's plenty of good vids online.

Make sure they are eating a good diet, if not they could lack nutrients and then have dirrehea which pastes up.

My chickens often have similar poop but they all seem normal.

love It! My coop is not insulated so it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. not a good design but its HUGE! 250+ sq. it came with the property. it even has rafters that the chickens roost in.

Black stars are a hybrid between a Rhode Island Red and a Australorp.

I have 24 Black Star hybrids that are doing fine. I lost 2 to predators but none to sickness. I had a couple get sick but they recovered in a couple weeks. :)

If I was there I would of freaked out. Have you considered making your chickens house chickens for the time being? How many do have?:eek:

I would say its a female.

They are probably to lazy to go all the way back to the coop to lay their egg. Or their nest boxes ore not private enough.:frow
