    We got up this morning and it looks like something may have gotten our pekin duck. She has a tear in her bill that looks more like a clean saw cut. It is not bleeding but I am fearful that the beak could break off. She is still trying to eat and drink. Should we just leave her be? Any first aid...

    hmm Don't take my word for it but the grey one carries him/herself more like a roo. But I am not familiar with the breed at all so I really don't know. Hopefully someone else is around here.

    SLW is one of the only breeds where I think the hen is prettier. I can't wait for my 2 to grow up!

    Its been raining like crazy here. so apparently our ducks think the whole backyard is their pond. I need to post a pic of them swimming in the puddles.

    Unidentified 'frypan special' bird.

    I'm new to chicks but to me it looks like you have a barred rock sebright mix. (please don't hold me to that) I had both and it has features of both. Like I said, I'm new so I'm probably wrong on the mix.

    aww She is gorgeous. We just put our chicks out and on their 3rd night we had one vanish before bedtime. I still look for her every day just in case.

    We have 3 right now. 2 possible females 1 possible male all about 9 weeks old. They are so cute but refuse to be separated. They are noisy and dirty, but did I mention cute? We enjoy just sitting out back and watch them quack around the backyard, swim in the pool, and eating the tree...

    Do certain breeds have smaller wings?

    Good question. I bought 4 red pullets and they all look the same except for one. She is slightly smaller, darker and has a shorter tail and wings. So I have no idea.
