SLW roo or pullet?

With a comb that red, its definitely a rooster.

Yes, he looks like a cockerel. Too much red in the comb and white in the wing at this age to be a pullet.

Looking at the new pics Im gonna have to go with everyone else and say he is a rooster. The wattles are pretty large.

Update... Willie is doing well! A respectful young man who keeps his distance so far. I'm not sure if it is his breed, or what, but the way he runs cracks me up! I can't even explain it!

I have the same questions about my 5 wk old SLW chick-thinking it may be a cockerel. The comb is and has been quite pink for the age and it seems to have more white over the wings. I'll try to get a good picture of this chick.

Forget stance, coloring, and feather points. If a young bird has a red comb it is a boy

SLW is one of the only breeds where I think the hen is prettier. I can't wait for my 2 to grow up!
