Can anyone give me a pointer for cleaning out my watered? Mine is mostly a permanent fixture and has an outi filler attached to it. What I think might need cleaning is the algae that grows on the bucket sides.
If the algae is not an issue I won't worry about it.
Thanks in advance.
I just replaced the nipples with the watering cups. Not a drop on the ground. A bonus is the gurgling and smacking sounds that they make when drinking. I also added a float to fill their bucket. No more running out if water. Yay!!!!

That is exactly what I had in mind. I actually picked up a piece of the 10' drain pipe and will put it together this weekend. Thanks everyone for all the replies and suggestions. I'll post a pic when done.
The sealer that I used worked great. I don't think it will work for what I think you want to do. This sealer causes the wood to turn silver/gray like cedar does as it ages. This is also absorbed by the wood and does not cover the surface. Sorry fir the delay in responding.
Has anyone used or heard about using ABS pipe for use as a chicken feeder? This is the black plastic pipe that is usually used for drains. I've been looking for PVC in 4" size but have only found ABS or PVC drain that has a black lining in it which also looks like ABS.
Thanks for any info...

As some of you have these inside the coop I assume either I have...

I am wanting to protect our garden plants from the always nibbling beeks that cruise our yard. Does anyone have any...
