  8. Upper left. (front right is my constantly escaping hatchery red hen) She's an odd looking thing isn't she? But she's purebred from GFF lines. Horrible type for an Orp, but she lays like crazy, and where the bantam orps are sweet, SHE's like molasses, honey and what I imagine nectar must be like all in one little package. Worth experimenting with, IMO.

  9. This was hatch one, with my black throwback girl and the Black Split male. The one in front is likely to be just like her with that Penguin look, the center one is brown, and the back one might be black.

    I have been using over the counter peroxide for the chooks, and food grade for our table sprouts. I cannot find an MSDS or anything that says why one is food grade and the other is not, other than packaging. Am going on the idea that it's being rinsed 4 to 6 times afterward, and that's that.
