I am new to the board and new to chicks so i haven't read much on here yet. Why should you not use pine shavings and use sand instead and why not use medicated chick food?
There is a guy in right outside Cullman on 278 that sells chickens, turkey's and guinea's. He might have some his number is 256-747-1650. He has a big sign on his front lawn. We bought Chickens from him and I am loving my big RIR
OK this may be a stupid question, so you have been warned ! We are very new to Chickens (as in a little over a month type of new). When we got our chickens the guy told us they should start laying within a few days. Well here we are over a month later and we have 1 maybe 2 laying and not always...
My DH and DD watch walking dead. I love orange is the new black and sons of anarchy. Also love parenthood, makes me cry every darn time.
Tomtommom, would century link be a cheaper option for internet for you? That's what we use for internet and home phone.
Thank you for such the kind welcome! I've learned the rolllll tide rollll shortly after moving here thanks to shopping at the local walmart on game day lol.
They are pullets and just started laying. No changes to their diet. We feed them a laying feed from the local Co-op. I will look into what you suggested and check them also for the lice and mites. Thanks!
I am new to owning Chickens, as in I've had them about a month. Anyway, I noticed one of the chickens is having light brown diarrhea. What is causing this and how do I fix it? Thank you in advance!
I have yet to go to TSC in Hamilton, I usually just shop the CO-OP in town. We have only had our chickens and goats for about a month. Glad to see someone else from Haleyville. I know about 1 person in town since we are so new here.
Hi
I'm in Haleyville. Moved here 6 months ago from New Jersey. We have 6 children, 8 chickens (2 Dominique's, 1 Rhode Island Red, 1 buff Orpington, and 4 gold laced wyandotties) and a rooster (Dominique):barnie, plus 4 goats, and 3 dogs.
