Wisher is great. I just met her. She has the most beautiful Black Orpingtons. SHe doesn't have turkeys.

If you find anyone with turkey hens, let me know. I have been looking for awhile. I will let you know if I find anyone. I only need one for my Tom. If anyone knows of anyone within 2 hours of Tuscaloosa and reasonably priced ($35 range), I will give you Easter Egger hatching eggs as a finders fee.

There is a guy in right outside Cullman on 278 that sells chickens, turkey's and guinea's. He might have some his number is 256-747-1650. He has a big sign on his front lawn. We bought Chickens from him and I am loving my big RIR

3 little ones. I can't wait to see how they look when they grow up. I love Orpingtons. I have one each of Lavender, Buff, Jubilee, Red, Gold Laced and Chocolate. Now beautiful Black. I am going to have rainbow babies. My Lavender, Red and Gold Laced should start laying soon. When they do I'm going to put the Jubilee Rooster with them and the Buff. I will have rainbow babies, I hope.

I will look at Ideal. Broad breasted wouldn't be good because they end up with leg problems. They get so heavy they break legs. A friend of mine has one and it's been in a cast three times.

I just looked on Ideal. They only have sraightruns and a minimum of 10. Only the broad breasted are available in females and in low numbers. I might just have to take my chances.

No one that I have looked at will sex turkey at all. County Hatchery in Ok. will let you order as few as 10 turkey poults I think that is the smallest amount I have found. Good luck in your search.

Anyone know how old ducks have to be to clearly sexed? I am clueless on how and when to tell.

GRRRRR

TSC just made me furious!

I'm standing at the chicken pen, some other folks waiting as well. The guy there helps two people, then another associate asks him to count the silver laced wyandottes for the Chelsea store. I ask him if I can get 4, since I got 6 last week, he says no. I'm like ok, I'll get 6. He walks off to tell the person on the phone how many they have and he comes back and sticks a 'SOLD' sign on the bin. What the heck? I spend A LOT of money at that store... that's not how you should treat a regular customer (or any customer for that matter). I was there before the phone call..... So rude!

I would be mad too. I would be raising cane. how can they sell them over the phone?

They're pretty active group and the main moderator Amy is out in your neck of the woods. Seems like they always have something going on around there.

I drove all the way from northern Limestone County just to buy some hens from Amy and her family last year - I think they were her son's 4H project. Amy's GREAT!
