    thanks.. i have 5 white rocks, 2 black sexlinks, 3 other noy sure and im only getting one egg every other day. i just put a light in with them on jan. 5th.

    i have what i think are white rock hens and they are laying brown eggs with little dark spots. is this right? new to this backyard chicken raising and loving it.

    first egg of the new year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i finally got an egg. you would have thought my wife had just had another baby, however after working with my chickens since oct. and wondering if i was ever going to get eggs looks like the girls may come thru...or should i say girl...lol...i took a pic but not sure how to load it on here.

    my coop is 6 x 4 and i have 11 birds in there. i have 2 black sex links, 6 plymouth rocks, 1 americauna, then a big black one that im not sure what she is, and my rooster

    i came home yesterday to find one of my white rock hens had her tail feathers pecked out and was bleeding alot. i moved her to a seperate pen. i havent had chickens but for about a month and this is my first time raising them. hope this is what i was supposed to do. can anyone please help me out...
