I currently own a Bower 846, and I paid $25 for it on craigslist. I haven't seen any on ebay for awhile. I looked through some of the old post and they sold from $13 to $80. For the right price I would buy them both :) and pay for shipping. Let me know what you are thinking, I''m betting...
Well I went out and looked at the banties again, and they are hens, or very girly roosters, and on further inspection only 2 have feathered feet, and i've seen one of them lay an egg. So I'm blaming it on my Roooster, now I have 7 feather footed little babies.
I've never hatched eggs before...........I made a homemade incubator and was hoping it would work. Well I so far I have had 4 hatch, but the question is why do they have feathers on their feet? None of my hens do, except the four banty hens. note none of the eggs were from the banty hens. The...
Thanks, I love getting chickens from the feed store it is always a guessing game when they start to get their feathers. I usually end up with 3 of what they say they are going to be and one mystery chick. This is the 3rd group of 4 that this has happened to.
I recieved this chicken with my buff orpingtons, and didn't really pay attention, becuase to me baby chicks are just cute little puff balls. Well now that she is about 2 months old she looks nothing like my buff orpingtons. She is a peach color with white, almost like a barred rock, and has...
Is there any distinguishing characteristics between a hen and a rooster? I'm going to go pic out my chickens on Saturday, and would like to make sure I get hens, I already have enough roosters. Pictures would be super helpful. The chickens are approximately 4 months old.
Does anyone have some Dominiques, I'm in the process of possibly purchasing a few, but don't even know what they look like or what their temperment is. Please post a photo or two and thanks for the help.
The one that is the same color next to him?? is the same age and came from the same hatch. I was told they were both pullets, but I'm begining to think otherwise
This is supposed to be a araucana/leghorn cross pullet. Is that correct?
