    First hatch out of my own birds this past weekend! 10 of 11 made it out! I am interested to know if blacks turn out better from chicks with darker coloring or with more yellow on the face? Or does it seem to not make a difference? [/IMG]

    All of my pullets are around 7 months. That's the first she'll less egg I have gotten and there haven't been any since thankfully. I'm hoping it's a glitch - everyone seems healthy and happy. No messy butts or anything. Crossing fingers

    It certainly did! 11 more girls we are still waiting on. Can't wait to check tomorrow. And boy were they making a lot of ruckus, I couldn't have missed it if I tried!
