Connecticut Polish Roo seeks crested companions for luv nest

Thanks everyone, hope to hear from Perfectly-Polish. I looked through the American Poultry Assoc. year book, but did not find any crested breeders advertizing who are located anywhere near the north east. I love the Roo, but I don't think we are up to trips to Tx!

Lonely ConnecticutPolish Roo seeks crested female friends for luv nest

Thanks! He is a really nice Roo, and funny as can be. It is sad to see him lonely. One of our bantam Rosecomb Roos ranges with him during the day, but at night he roosts alone:(

Lonely ConnecticutPolish Roo seeks crested female friends for luv nest

Sadly and utterly rejected by his flat feathered yard mates, we have decided segragation is the only answer! Our other hens have NOT embraced diversity, and his lofty top knot has set him too far apart for intigration. Our lonely young roo is seeking some fancily feathered companions to...

Connecticut Polish Roo seeks crested companions for luv nest

Our fancifully feathered roo has suffered complete rejection by the flock of flat feathered hens currently residing with us. They have not embraced diversity. Sadly, we accept that segragation is the only path to happiness for our silly little guy. We are looking for any crested hens in the...

4 week old EE chick has only a few feathers......

Thank you all so much! I am keeping her in the house, warm, and hope she will continue to grow and eventually get more feathers. If she does feather out, we will band her to keep track, and not use her to breed! Who knew that I would love having chickens this much, which of course means I...

    Stormy is hurt...

I so understand! My See No Spots is a walking disaster. He is retired in my back yard, and still manages to have weird, scary things happen to him. My vets are great, but I seem to see too much of them! Meanwhile his shetland pony pasture buddy is indestructable. Despite the pain and fear and...

Chicks beak does not close all the way...

A four week old EE chick is one of the smallest in the batch. Upon inspection, its lower beak is very straight, and thus, does not close all the way. Eating and drinking is enough to keep weight and life, but its small. Any prognosis on its future? 4H Mom

4 week old EE chick has only a few feathers......

Out of the 27 chicks that arrived 4 weeks ago, all have begun to feather out nicely, except for one. "She" has a few feathers on her wing tips, and the rest is down. She has grown well, good weight, bright eyes..... I've got her in the office with two runty chicks, because she needs more heat...
