It's not really as big as it seems, the pic is a close up.. the hand belongs to a small 5 year old girl. The chick is about a week and a half to two weeks old.

(actually, now I'm beginning to think it does look big but I do not have much experience with chicks. It is...
Had to share these cute pics. This is the sweetest little chick ever. She (hopefully she!) loves to be held, especially by my 5 year old daughter, Emilie.
My chicks are a little over a week old, and I can already tell the RIR's have a "bigger" personality, and do seem to bully the white rocks a tad. But, they are also the ones who eagerly jump into my childrens hands and are definitely the favorites.
It's hot out today, a little over 80 degrees. Would it be okay to take the chicks out and let them walk around the yard for a bit? They are a little over a week old. I'll be with them of course.

This makes me feel SO much better! The hospital and even poison control were not sure she needed care. Glad to see others have ate it and survived.
The feed store has the original tag. This feed came from "Handy Farms" but she could not make out the ingrediants on the tag.
She had bits and pieces of names...

The other is Amprolium.
These are supposed to be the medications.
we bought a bag, and there are no ingrediants listed, it just says 20% medicated. What exactly is in this?
My toddler ate a handful of it. Does this warrant a trip to the hospital because of the medications in the feed?
