I second the suggestions of game cameras. They are cheap enough. Do check the laws for your state; here, for photos to be evidence, there has to be something posted that says property is under surveillance. So, a post it would work, just something. We have had a lot of break ins our way lately...

I have food outside the coop, hanging under so the feeders stay clean and dry. I keep a waterer hanging inside the coop and one outside. I just feel like the coop stays cleaner.

That is a beautiful coop! Lowe's is offering 5% off purchases when you use your Lowe's credit card. They do run specials on occasion ($10 off $40 purchase) I feel you. My coop costs twice what I planned. And we are still not done.
