She stopped for a day (both ducklings voices became raspyish) and then did cough a handful of times today. But still very active and eating.
But like I said both have like a raspyish voice now, and she hasn't quacked since the coughing the first time. 🤷♀️
Hello everyone, sorry it has taken a minute to introduce us. Seems like we just can't catch a break.
I'm super new to this I at this moment have 4, 7 week chicks and 2 7 week ducklings. These are my first babies of this kind.
I dont have names yet especially for the ducklings as I dont know...
Took an 7 week duckling on an outing for their daily greeting and now one of them has coughed like 5x in 1 hour.
Any ideas?
I dont think it's the bedding as the other isn't coughing but it constantly gets changed anyways because they make such a mess with the water.
Yea I've been keeping her friend with her, only separating for a few minutes when the friend wants to play play in the water.
The chicks are also been kept in a separate are since the incident
She seems to be doing better again. I have seen her duck her hole head in a couple times. Been changing the water on the regular every couple hours.
Thank-you I do think she is on the mend.
Any suggestions on how long to keep her seperated from the chicks or from taking her to play outside or...
Bleeding went off and on for a few more hours but as of this morning I haven't seen any new blood, cleaned up her bill and has stayed clean.
She sounds as if slightly stuffy like whistling when breathing not very but you can hear it.
She has eaten from my hand a bit a few times and is drinking...
Thank-you sorry, I'm panicking so appreciate anything and everything.
Ducky has a friend I don't know ow if it's best to separate them. I did try for a little but the other baby wouldn't relax.
Please help, I'm new. I got a duckling and he/she is about 5 weeks old. They just had a bill injury, I saw it happen, I don't see damage but there is blood coming off and on from the nostrils (it was a blunt injury and I feel horrible, the lid fell on his/her bill) I don't know what to do.
Did...
