"Pyrantel tartrate was more effective then pyrantel pamoate against the adult stage of A galli, and it was somewhat effective against Capillaria when administered at 15–25 mg/kg"
Previously I had used Valbazen but wanted to try something different.
What other medications do...
We waited one week from the 2nd dosage and ran a stool sample. The Capillaria is gone (yeah!) but now there is 450 EPG (eggs per gram) of Eimeria which is a fancy word for "cocci." These are all 3 or 4 year old birds. Most likely the medicine got rid of the good bacteria in the gut and caused...
One week ago, the stool sample had 100 eggs per gram of Capillaria worms. At that point, we gave the chickens the Mediworm tablets.
Today it is 8 days later and a new stool sample comes back with 50 eggs per gram of Capillaria. So their population is cut in half but not eliminated.

. Pyrantel Pamoate 20mg
. Praziquantel 5mg
For the Pyrantel pamoate, chickens can safely take 75-100mgs/kg.

After this post went live the following has occurred almost immediately:
1) Omlet sent me an email request for full payment of $1,368.09 on August 9th for a product they now say they don't have.
2) Voicemail was left from Clare at Omlet still telling me that I never gave them credit card...
If anyone can recommend a coop that:
1) has wheels
2) is plastic, metal, or aluminum
3) has a run with flared bottom to deter digging predators
4) reasonable price
I'm all ears, please tell us, because I thought the Omlet Eglu "go UP" was that product. Unfortunately it is a British Unicorn...
This article can be used by anyone no matter where you live because it is a universal look at Salmonella and what it "really" means for us.
I've looked for something similar, that really looks at the issue head on, but to my knowledge this is the first example that compiles a...
