    Well if she is nasty to the other neighbor too then it's not just you. I sure wouldn't have any objection to putting horse manure under her bedroom window! Shame we didn't live across the ocean! ;p Hang in there!

    That'll probably help :) Have some patience and give the little one some time and they should be good. If not, you can try sneaking both back under the broody when it's dark out and she's asleep, then the next day she'll never know (normally)

    Haha famous Herman! :) He's pretty to me and he's special to you so that is perfect;) I agree a sweet good roo goes along way for me! Just recently had one turned into soup because he was absolutely nasty and he almost killed my best hen!

    I second the feather duster! Even with a brooder full of chicks, I find that a duster or two with real feathers helps keep the chicks feeling more safe/comfortable and therefore more quiet :)

    That quote reminds me of a tiny little 27" mini stallion I had previously owned that had the hots for my 16hand mare! :gig...he had a very big ego It's hilarious that a duck is sneaky and likes to pretend she's a chicken!

    I'd put her under a lamp or heating pad. The more chilled it gets the harder it is on them especially with it having other problems.

    I hatch a lot too and have to disagree with putting more water into a chick that is gasping, it'll just drown if it can't get the water down properly. The vitamins/water mixture to make a feed mash will get the calories and the moisture needed to help it. Just my opinion and personal experience...

    Unfortunately yes. Very sleepy. You can try vigorously rubbing them to get them alert and then dipping the beak into the vitamin mush. But sometimes when they're this far gone no matter how hard you try they just don't make it and it's heartbreaking.
