Almost 16 weeks old. Was bound and determined it was a pullet but it's been honking after the rooster crows and I think it's growing some skinny feathers near its tail.. sooo safe to assume it's a Cockerel?
Unfortunately if it is male I will be rehoming him if I can. I only have 2 confirmed hens and 1 I'm not so sure about lol And if they don't crow often there there is a chance it has crowed already. A week ago I heard one crow and swore it with this one but haven't seen it do it since. Either way...
Beautiful birds! Does both your male and female shine iridescent all over in the sun? My bird has a purple/greenish colour in the sun. I'll keep an eye out for saddle feathers as if right now the bird does really have much of a tail at all compared to my other but I'll watch for development...
12 weeks old.
This is my loner bird (only have 1 like this) it's either hanging by itself or hanging with the hens.
Dark legs and its feet underneath are a very soft butter yellow. Has always been slower developing then the rest. Originally I thought it was a male australorp but I was told by a...
She told me the rooster is barred and he is in a coop with 2 barred, 2 Columbians and 2 sex Link. So it's a listed as a hybrid on the ad. But being there was sex Link in the coop and you feel like kinda looks like one I'm a bit leery lol the bird is 3 months old. This is the only other picture...
I decided to just get the older bird and not the 5 week olds. I already have 3 roosters and need to rehome 1 or 2 of them so I don't want to run the risk of them being male.
Hmmm yeah she told me she had one that was 5 weeks old (can she sex the bird at this age?)’ and one approx 2 months old and sent me these pictures. How old do you think it is?! She wants $15 for it.
I answered an ad for a pullet. (Shown below) she is roughly 2 month old. .
Before I drive an hour to pick it up can you help determine what sex it is?
Second photo (bird is the middle one)
I bought him from a local farmer, barnyard mix straight run. I got 2 chicks that looked identical at the time and she told me one was for sure a female but as time went on I lost track of which one it was suppose to be.. the other one has more of the EE characteristics like the peacomb and not...
