Thanks for the advice. We moved her to the kennel and pampered her to help her feel better (warm Epson salt bath). We plan to keep a close eye on her and hope for a speedy recovery

    Help injured Pullet!!!

Thankyou for your response. I've given vitamin water. I was hesitant to pull her from the Flock bc they are not bothering her but I do want her to heal. She's laying by the water in the coop right now; should I just go ahead and bring her in? I have a dog kennel I can put her in

She allows me to touch it but favors it while walking. Please help I'm not sure what to do. Should I separate her from and...

Help please I need advice quickly!

My husband's co-worker lost the entire flock to a coop fire except for 1 hen. She's roaming their property day and night alone because they have nowhere currently to house her. I have 12 chickens myself (1 rooster) and just integrated 7 about 2 months ago. Should we take this hen into our flock...

They are 9 weeks old now and I'm pretty sure 1 of the 7 is a roo. How do we introduce him to the older girls bc they have never been around a rooster. We really...

    Please help

Ok, thankyou. I just went back out to the coop bc I was going to separate her. After her and 3 others ate they all got onto the roost. I'm just confused bc something caused them to do it. I'm not sure if its bullying bc I think she's on the low end of the totem pole. I don't see any sickness...

I'm worried because all 5 usually sleep close together on the roost. She tried getting up there but they pecked her until she got down???? It seems to be just her that they are picking on.

They came out to see me, once they were ready to go back to bed the one originally in the nest got up onto the roost this time but the others pecked at her until she got down and went back into the nest. I don't...

    Hello from Ohio

Thanks!! My concerns and questions right pertain to integrating my "old" flock with the new. I have 5 RIR's that will be a year old in March. My husband and I just got 7 new chicks. Once the chicks are old enough to move to the coop how do we go about doing this to keep the fighting down??
