Hi There,
Yesterday my barred rock of about 6 months old started a high pitched barking noise while she was eating. I assumed that she was just eating too fast because she was really shoveling it in, but today she is rather listless. Her breathing is rapid, she walks a few steps and then...
Hey All,
I am getting a new brood(15) of chicks in about a month. I currently have 4 3 year old orpingtons who are lazy layers. Is it beneficial to keep the old gals around for the little ones or is the best place for them in the freezer? Thoughts?
Okay flush complete, well it was more like vomiting complete. She turned her head and emptied about a 1/2 cup of brown liquid with some seeds in it. Her crop feels noticeably smaller, of course. It was pretty traumatic for both of us! Now I wait? Yogurt?
She is not making any noise at all. She can walk, but seems a little off balance. She didn't drink water for the few hours we spent with her tonight. Her droppings look like the second pic of the "Abnormal Poo" Very watery and all or mostly white.
I will feel her crop again in the morning...
I noticed the watery poo about 5 days ago, but she seemed okay. She hasn't layed for a few days. Her crop is about golfball size and very squishy as if full of liquid. The bone in the front is not sticking out, just the large crop.
We also feed a pellet feed from the feedstore, and scratch...
I have no idea how to check the crop. Can you kindly explain? They free range in my backyard mostly crabgrass, etc. I haven't ever wormed her, is that something I can get at the feedstore?
Hello All, I have a 2 year old Buff Orpington who is listless, clumsy, not eating and has runny white droppings. Also her comb is drooping and turning dark. We have not switched feeds or changed anything. She seems to be getting worse. Any help??
