Hi there,
In the post this morning I received my 6 Jersey Giant eggs. I'm using a Brinscall mini advance incubator (but it's an old ish one not one of the new ones) I'm going to let the eggs sit until I get home from work tomorrow at about four pm. Is there anything I need to check on the eggs...
That's a big incentive to get It done then! How long will she need to be bathed for? Will one session help her to get rid of them or may she need it done several times? Would I be able to wrap her up in a towel to keep her calm? Will the Vaseline need to be applied more than once?
Smaller fencing is another project for this weekend. I went to an auction with the intention of buying adult birds so I was not prepared for chicks, which meant a drive to the pet shop when I got back.
Her legs do look terrible I noticed today but I only just bought her. What can I do to help her legs? She's not too keen on me going near her yet but I am building up her trust? Do you think she's in any pain?
I don't really know anything but chicken diseases or prevention but I don't want them...
