    Humidity level for lockdown

I can get mine to the 70's to 80's, I just am so worried with this being my first hatch. I have done so good up until now and I am so afraid I am going to screw them up lol. I guess I will try between the 60's-70's. I guess we all have to do trial and error. Thank you, Dana

    Humidity level for lockdown

Good morning everyone, I have read a lot of the threads about the humidity levels for days 1-18 and lock-down and there are a lot of suggestions. For the first 18 days I have had the humidity between 50-60 and when candling the eggs are thriving. I am just curious as to others successful...

Been reading on Sour crop but I don't think this is what is wrong with my hen.

UPDATE: She spent a few hours in the house, ate some scrambled eggs and drank some vitamin water. Then I put her back out with the others and it was like nothing was wrong with her. I guess I will just keep an eye on her. She is ruling the roost yet again. Thank you all for the advice and...

Been reading on Sour crop but I don't think this is what is wrong with my hen.

She is a rhode island red and she is approximately 1.5 years old. I will check her crop tonight but this morning there wasn't anything to feel. She is "sleeping" with her eyes closed a lot since I put her in the house. Will Corid hurt her if she doesn't have coccidiosis??? I just made her...

Been reading on Sour crop but I don't think this is what is wrong with my hen.

Some much needed help as this hen is one of my very first out of two. She is the head hen and loves when I open the gate to their pen to let them graze in the backyard. Last night she was fine, but this morning she has segregated herself from the rest of the flock. She seemed puffed up and was...

Hello from Awe-some Acre Farm in NC

Redsoxs, I believe I have an addiction too or infatuation for my feather babies. I went to a chicken auction and could have stayed there until the end but after about 5 hours there my husband was ready to go. He told me next time I could go by myself lol. -Dana

Good morning everyone!! This is my first time incubating and candling and so far so good!! (fingers-crossed) These images are of my four eggs at 2-3 days of incubation. They are seven days now and are doing good, but it is hard to get pictures. The babies are moving around.
