    What is this chicken doing?

It doesn't appear to be wet pox or sour crop either. Thanks for the suggestions so I could look into them. She and two others are rattling in their chest. One of them sneezed. I'm thinking we need to treat with Tylan, which I will pick up tomorrow. These are not my chickens, they are a friends...

    What is this chicken doing?

Well I work at a vet and none of us know what a gape worm oocyst looks like. We are dogs and cats only. So what would you treat for? Could I not treat for worms anyway?

    What is this chicken doing?

Is there a way to load a video? I didn't take a picture of my friend's bird, I just videoed what she was doing. She was stretching up her neck with her mouth open. I think I saw a string of mucous. He got 10 from someone this weekend.

    warm weather/broody box outside?

Oh thanks for answering!! I use the heating pad indoors for the same reason. Also so I can put a little bit of it under part of the box and see if they go to it or away from it. It would be hard to power it out in the barn. I put them in the barn last night, and checked on them well after dark...

    warm weather/broody box outside?

I kind of have the same question, 90 degree days, 70 nights and mine are older, most have wing and some back feathers. Is 70 too low for this age? There are lots of shavings in there to nestle in. I'm afraid of a light, could burn the whole barn down.

    Caponization

Dogs and cats are put under anesthesia for spaying and neutering. If you had ever seen this done, you would never want one done without it. Spaying is a deep process and neutering is much more involved than you think.

    Impacted crop help

He did recommend that too but I don't want to try it. I am really good at putting feeding tubes down the air hole and I don't want to ever do that again.

    Impacted crop help

My beautiful and sweet Matlide has been looking like Dolly Parton of late, and I didn't know what to do. I spoke with the state vet and he said for me to give her yogurt and I asked about adding mineral oil to it and he said, yes, good idea. I have been doing that for a couple of days, today...

    First Egg Countdown

Congrats to all of my fellow wait-ers! I have rejoiced with you! Finally got an egg in the nest, her husband waited patiently while she was doing her thing in the box, so i knew what was probably happening. I promise he had the exact posture and expression of a man waiting for his woman to come...
