Impacted crop help

He did recommend that too but I don't want to try it. I am really good at putting feeding tubes down the air hole and I don't want to ever do that again.

With a large enough tube it's impossible to put it in the wrong hole. A size 18 french tube is larger than the trachea of most chickens.
