These poor chickchicks :( I'm hoping I misdiagnosed her. I'd like to think she's just under the weather. Wishful thinking... Hate to see them like this. Hope the best for your girl <3
2 yr old ISA Brown, named "#5" has been laying less frequently however, eggs are very large and thick towards the tip of the egg. Last 48 hrs she's been lethargic... Standalone sunbathing, pale comb and closing her eyes (haven't seen the penguin stance yet). Today I inspected the vent and...
I work two weeks of days and two weeks of nights, rotating, 12 hr shifts. If I work days, the coop door is open at 0530. If nights, opens up about 0730, when I get home. Sometimes I don't get the coop open til noon. They'd rather be out and about, judging the pile of chickens at the run door...

You and I are on the same page. Thank you for the confirmation and ego stroke. I was thinking there were some kind of sex link traits because one came out white and the other chipmunk. Especially when considering they are both ISA brown crosses.
I have and crossed one easter egger rooster X 4 ISA Browns, two light brahmas and an easter egger hen that lays a blue egg. One brahma was broody so I hatched one day's lay... one brahma egg, one blue ee egg and four ISA brown eggs under the broody light brahma. Of the six eggs, five hatched...
If you have a run you could use crush and run on the ground... Or church up a lawn ornament and border with some crush and gravel. I just paid 35 dollars for a half-ton of it but you can buy by the bag at Lowe's or home Depot.
Thanks for checking it out! I've made a few mods as time has gone on but it's mostly the same. Now that they are bigger and more comfortable with being fed by hand, the eager birds fly out and try to get first dibs when it's snack time! Layering the bottom with cardboard was clutch when it came...
