I wonder if they'd take non breed specific birds ... We're not sure what we have as they were a mixed bag gift as eggs from our neighbor. Or maybe we just need to do more research. . Thanks!

Wow! My fears exactly. Thanks for helping me out! Now what do I do with all of those roosters?!! We aren't hardcore enough to eat them though our farmer friends would laugh at us for that. We are so new to this and hatching was traumatic enough !!

I've got nine four week old chicks and ran out of feed this afternoon. I will get more in the morning but have none left and I hate leaving them with nothing . Can I feed them peas and hard boiled eggs ? I don't have any grit . Thanks for the help !!

It isn't pasty butt is it? It doesn't look like poo to me but more like a growth .its under the vent and looks like skin. I could be wrong I m a first timer... Could it be from birth? It's raised, round and pink .
