Sadly dangling things is not an option. I have to keep the lid on to keep them safe from the cat. Once they are bigger she wont bother them but at this size I think she might eat them.

Ok have gently broken the shell away. it wasnt truly stuck just it had dried on to it where it had been brokwn oopen and the air had got to it. Its tweeting like mad though

Oh thats good. the chicken egg hasnt pipped but I am not convinced its fertile. shell has always been to dark to candle.
