HI all

This is my first batch of eggs. I borrowed an incubator from a friend who had hatched his own. he said temp was set right and to just put them in and wait. So I did

I only realised at day 8 that I should be turning them and have done so ever since. Also no one told me about raising the humidity.

One of my eggs was cheeping at me this morning so I opened the bator and all the eggs have pipped. I quickly shoved some water in the bottom of the bator and raised the temp after reading about it on here.

Problem is I am worried that the chicks wont be able to hatch without help as
a) they might be stuck to the shells as I didnt turn them
b) the shells might be too hard.

In my kids keened to see the hatching agges they bumped the bator and all the eggs rolled, one of them caught on something and pulled a chunk of shell of so now I can see a chick through the whole.

I dont know if I should help them or leave them. will they die if stuck to shells. will the shells be too hard for them to break out of????

HELP !

Oh thats good. the chicken egg hasnt pipped but I am not convinced its fertile. shell has always been to dark to candle.

Will the fact that the eggs have all rolled around and the bator has been opened have a bad effect?
