Hopefully this question belongs in this thread.
We’ve currently been evicted, legally homeless, in Emergency Accommodation. My aunt is taking our 3 dogs in, as the EA won’t allow dogs in the building.
The problem: We have 10 rescue roosters, 13 hens + 3 geese still currently on our old...
Welp. Never wanted to make this post but here we go.
We have been evicted, no notice, and we need to get them off the property ASAP as the landlord is no longer tolerating them. Me, my mother and my brother are currently all staying in emergency accommodation, homeless.
We can’t take them off...
thank you, i’d never thought id be losing my home of 7 years, let alone half my flock. we became a mini sanctuary for unwanted roos because we never thought we’d ever end up here.
We are in the uk, gloucestershire region.
not sure if this is the right thread for this, but we really need to start looking to rehome. we are being evicted through no fault of our own and cannot keep them anymore. we’re devastated to see them go.
all of our roos are lovely boys, we have...
breeder down the road. theyve accidentally given out mixed/different breeds to us before. doesn’t bother us but 🤷 you’re probably right about maybe not being a welsummer. for examples : they also told us that these two were welsummers.. 🤣
the breeder we got (him?) from is nutorious for accidentally giving out mixed breeds. doesn’t bother us but 🤷 you’re probably right about maybe not being a welsummer
i’m unsure of what gender this baby is!!
she’s around 3.5 months old, and she only started developing these black feathers recently. temperament wise i would go 100% hen, she’s the friendliest baby i’ve ever raised if i’m honest.
i’ll be devastated if she’s a roo, where we are right now if...

We have a brahma pullet, she’s just over 3months old, and a few days ago she started making this very strange croaking noise. she sounds like a duck.
Despite brahmas being listed as a quiet chicken breed, Bunny (the hen) has never shut up ever since we got her as a chick. it was never anything...
I’ve made a few posts about these dudes, but something about how they behave puzzles me.
My mother is still pretty sure atleast one of them is a girl (i’m not optimistic at all) but the fact that they’re almost 3 months old and neither of them have ever even attempted to crow??!??
every roo...
small update on these guys as you asked, they’re still super friendly which is pretty surprising as i’m quite sure they’re both roos, one of them keeps trying to fight our adult roo who’s like triple the size of him 😭
this is April :
And this is the only pic of Coco i could get :
Also! you...
